Scott and I made the decision to dedicate Alexis and Isiah to God. For one reason or another we never made that decision when Isiah was little. So when it came time to dedicate Alexis we asked Isiah if he would like to be dedicated as well. He was quick with his reply of Yes.
Many of you know me and know that I am not a planner, more of a fly by the seat of my pants, last minute type. Well it was the night before the dedication before I even sent out the email to my family with the Church’s' address and information. I had talked to them before hand but still... I really need to get better at this planning thing.
I was pretty nervous about the dedication and really took it seriously about what I was committing myself too.
I wasn't sure who to invite or who not to invite the only thing I knew for certain was that family was supposed to be there, so that is the only ones I invited. Looking back on it, it would have been really nice to have the Baileys, Debi, Mary and some of our Football family friends. But I didn't plan so I didn't get to invite them.
Alexis wore a beautiful white dress (no bonnet because Scott said she looked like a Amish Girl) and Isiah wore a suit with a gray dress shirt and striped tie. I was pretty nervous for a few little bits, but then Scott said to me, why are you nervous? It is just family. And... he had a point. After that I wasn't nervous.. Just HOT!!
Thank you family for being there for us on this very important day and so sorry to all my friends who didn't get and invite. If I could go back in time and do it again you would be.
love you all
